Not myself, although I am using it on my Talon. Basically the same engine family.

Trbo Dad, I have a couple of questions for you if you don't mind.
I'm considering the LM-1 for my evo and would welcome whatever thoughts you might have. Thanks.

Do you have the LM-1 permanently installed or just hooked up for tuning?
Permanently installed Where did you install the sensor and run the wiring? i have the sensor installed in the test pipe (no cat) and ran the wire to a rubber grommet under the passenger side rug, into the passenger door sill, up behind the glove box and I keep the LM-1 in the glove box. Are you feeding the (stock) ECU from the NB output of the LM-1? If so, how is it working? No, I use it to tune with the A/F and RPMs as well as a datalogger for monitoring timing. When used on a dyno, I found my street tune to be almost optimum. I needed only slight tweeking on the dyno and squeeked out an extra 5 hp, but I also smoothed out a small dip in the torque curve. Overall, the LM-1 is a gem for tuning. Last edited by Trbo Dad; 04-13-2004 at 12:23 PM. |

Thanks for the info! Especially how the sensor wire is routed. I have a high-flow cat, so I'm planning on putting the bung at the end of the downpipe but that's pretty close. I was hoping to run it the way you describe.
