Logging Fuel pressure
just an FYI.
For those that have an Autometer electric fuel pressure gauge(2663 in my case)...... http://hp.autometer.com/products/pro...6xx/002663.jpg .... and wish to log fuel pressure on a data logger .5v= 0psi 4.5v = 100psi the relationship is linear so 2.5v=50psi My gauge has 3 wires from the sender...purple, grey and black The wire needed will be the return wire (purple) Black is ground and the grey is the gauge 5v supply. HTH  |

Sorry I am new to this but how do you hook up the gauge to work with the aux box?

In my case the Purple wire simply goes into the "+" of the channel you have configured for its use. You will have to set up an AUX box channel for external input. Then in logworks set up a "custom configuration" on the table.
i used. psi--v 0 = .5 25 = 1.5 50 = 2.5 75 = 3.5 100 = 4.5 remember, those volts are for a specific gauge im using. I called Autometer tech line and they gave me the numbers in about 10secs! A buddy of mine used an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and read the voltage from the sender as he took readings every 10psi or so then entered that data on the config table. |

Hi,
The - input should ALWAYS be connected to the ground of the measured sensor. Otherwise the LMA-3 does not have a ground reference for that channel. Regards, Klaus |

so the purple goes to a terminal on the rpm converter, .What does the black and gray wire go to?

I looked into this some time ago & IIRC, they use these Kavlico transducers & they are all .5 to 4.5 Volt output sensors. It almost does not make any sense trying to get them direct from the mfg (or thier reps), if your not buying volumes they are expensive. it was cheaper for me to buy it through summit (through Autometer) than to buy it from my vendor, because of volumes.
http://www.kavlico.com/pages/product...igns1.htm#p265 Im pretty sure its the P265 series X-ducer I would guess: Gray goes to +5 Volts Purple goes to + on LMA3 Black goes to - on LMA3 & Ground Bob |

Will the pressure gauge work with th RPM converter?
I t would seem that I can only hook up one wire to the rpm converter? |

I will second that in regards to the Kavlicos. We use them on our FSAE cars, and they are pricy when purchased individually ($200-$300). Thanks for the alternative source Bob!

I bought some sensors off billjones. They were $22 US to my door. They are very similar to the Auto meter one I bought at Summit for a $100 US. They do vaccum as well as 100 psi. I have one on my tranny line right now, it works great ( taken 3rd gear out twice now in 8000 KM ). If you are interested give me your e-mail address and I will forward his e-mail on to you. At the time I think he said he had about 50 of them, minus the 5 I bought and any others he may have sold.
